Sixty eight get killed in blasts in India


The beautiful Indian city Jaipur was terrorized by the militant attacks that were one of the deadliest attacks of South Asia. The director general of police reported that 68 got killed in the attacks and more than 100 got injured.

Home Secretary of India And Pakistan discuss on terrorism in India to look for expulsion of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim from Pakistan.

The meeting is part of the ongoing complex dialogue process. The Indian side will lift up security concerns.

The Home Secretary level talks between India and Pakistan on terrorism and drug trafficking will be held here on August 29 and 30 in New Delhi. The talks are part of the ongoing complex dialogue process between the two countries. The last talks were held in Islamabad in August last year.

At this year’s annual celebration of the best that Indian cinema has to offer, it was Madhur Bhandarkar’s critically acclaimed box office hit Page 3 that took home the most prestigious trophy of them all, the National Award for Best Film. As for Shyam Benegal’s tribute to Netaji, Bose - The Forgotten Hero, it won the National Award for Best Film on National Integration.

A new way to keep blood pressure under control

If you have high b.p , then there is a good news for you. As new and advanced technique has been developed to keep blood pressure under control.

Chromogranin A (CHGA) is a hormone-like molecule that is overexpressed in hereditary hypertension, but its precise role in the disease was unclear.

In a new study appearing in the July 1 print issue of The Journal of Clinical Investigation, Sushil Mahata and colleagues from UCSD describe several novel phenotypes observed in mice lacking CHGA, and establish a role for this protein in hormone and neurotransmitter storage and release in vivo.

The mice had elevated blood pressure that could be restored to normalcy by treating the mice with human CHGA, demonstrating that the human gene plays a role in autonomic control of blood pressure. An accompanying commentary by Taeyoon Kim and Y. Peng Loh states that one important clinical implication of this work is that CHGA may be used as a therapeutic agent for treating hypertension in humans.
