Pakistan Emergency rule to end on Dec 16

The emergency rule in Pakistan will end by 16 December and this was declared by president of Pakistan Pervez Musharraf who yesterday took oath for the next five year Presidential term.
The western ally of Pakistan had been making demands from the president Musharraf to lift emergency after taking oath for president as a civilian candidate to restore democracy in the country. (more…)

Curfew in Philippines as soldiers’ rebel
Gloria Arroyo, the president of Philippine said that she was in control of the army and people in Manila are safe after the coup attempt by rebel soldier was nullified by Philippine troops.

Phil Jackson’s contract gets extended

The coach of Lakers, Phil Jackson got an extension in his term by two years worth $24 million. The Lakers coach talked to the media persons before the game on Thursday against Denver Nuggets. The team won the match on Thursday after the announcement of extension of Jackson’s term by 127-99.
Jackson is very comfortable with his position in the team and gets well with the staff and players of the team. The coach is also companion of team owners’ daughter Jeanie Buss who is an executive in the team administration.
