Number of babies born in U.S. drop by 2.6%
Number of babies born in U.S. in the year dropped by 2.6 % in the year as compared to last year and the population fell to 13.5 births per 1000 people as compared to 13.9 of last years and 14.3 of 2007.The professor at Johns Hopkins University, Andrew Cherlin said it is not surprising because the American economy is not in good shape right now.
The researchers said the drop in birth rate is due to the Great Recession which started late 2007 and as the economy will pick up the birth rate will also improve.
