Breastfeeding reduces the risk of Type 2 diabetes
It has been found that women who breastfeed the new born are at a lower risk of getting diabetes in the later age as compared to women who do not breast feed the new born in the first month of birth.
To find the link researcher studied 2233 women and they found that the women who breastfed the new born in the first month of birth were at the same risk for type 2 Diabetes as were the women who had not given birth but mother who did not breastfeed were at higher risk.
