6500 civilians might have died in Sri Lanka

In the last three months about 6400 Tamil civilians might have got killed in the fight of Sri Lanka troops with the LTTE Tamil Tiger rebels. The government almost succeeded in crushing the rebel groups that was troubling the county from almost a quarter century.

Indian government sent its Foreign Secretary to meet Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa but the details of the meeting has not been made available. Indian Minster said “We are unhappy about the human killings in Sri Lanka.”
