U.S. officials tell “Pakistan fighting for its own survival”

A separate meeting of U.S. envoys with Prime Minister of Pakistan Yousuf Raza Gilani is scheduled to be held in coming weeks and in recent talks U.S. envoys said that Pakistan’s leaders were telling that Pakistan is fighting against the militant groups for its own survival and Pakistan won’t succumb to the demands of the militants.

In a top level meeting in the last week, US President Barack Obama decided to commit some more troops into the war in Afghanistan and U.S. will send drones deep into the tribal areas to search for militants.
