Milky Way is bigger than thought earlier

Milky Way galaxy is thought to be smaller than the neighborhood galaxy called Andromeda Galaxy but the recent research team of Harvard astrophysicists found that our galaxy is almost 50% larger than it is predicted to be.

Our galaxy has four arms and not two and the study on the size of the galaxy was made through advanced measurement of the speed of rotation of the galaxy.
