New York governor proposes ‘Obesity tax’

New York Governor has proposed an “obesity tax” of 15% of tax on non diet soft drinks that will include $1 for diet Coke and $1.15 for a Coke. The proposal says that the sugary drinks that contain less than 70% of fruit juices should pay taxes.
There should not be taxes on products like milk, fruit juices, diet soda and bottled water.There has been mixed views on the latest obesity tax offered by the governor that is called “Fat tax movement.” A few says unhealthy food in market should be taxed and some are against the tax proposal.
