Movie review: ‘The Express’

The film ‘The Express’ is a sports drama based on the life of Syracuse University football player Ernie Davis, one of the first African American players who won the Heisman Trophy. The film shows how Davis fights his weaknesses like racism in game, speech impediment and hamstring injury and then he gets the trophy.
The film is directed by Gary Fleder and it is about how the stubborn sportsman shifted from being athlete to be first black man to get the trophy.
