Genetic link between colon cancer and obesity found

The researchers at the Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Alabama at Birmingham discovered a link between colon cancer and diet weight losses to genes. The findings of the research have been published in the Journal of the American Medical Association.

The two genes studied are ADIPOQ and ADIPOR1 and it said that if high amount of adiponectin is present in blood, one should go for early test of colon cancer.
