Magnesium Sulfate linked to Cerebral Palsy in babies

The mothers who have increased chance of preterm babies generally take the Magnesium Sulfate therapy and the doctors found that the mothers taking the treatment had less chance of babies having cerebral palsy.
1.9% of the babies who took magnesium sulfate treatment did have babies having cerebral palsy whereas the mothers who took placebo had 3.5% of babies having cerebral palsy.
