600,000 African - American are HIV positive

About 30,000 of African American get infected from HIV virus every year and 600,000 African-Americans are living with the virus that can cause disease like AIDS. When compared to white, the death rates of African-American are 2.5 times more than an infected white.

A doctor responsible for tracking the epidemic in US said that it is a crisis that needs prevention.
