River reopens for daily ship traffic

The Mississippi river re-opened after almost two days, on Friday, for the daily traffic of ships across the river, that were stranded on the banks of Mississippi river because the river surface got covered with a coat of oil.58 ships were waiting for getting clearance from the authorities.
The oil spilled from a vessel carrying oil got hit by a tanker and the pungent smell coming out of the oil on the surface of the rive could be smelled from miles away from the river. The oil coat had even killed many birds and fishes living in the river bases.
