‘The Dark Knight ‘tops the box office

The Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures film on batman ‘The Dark Knight’ grossed an estimated $155.3 million in the initial three days of its release and the film has become one of the highest grosser in a weekend.

The previous record for best weekend was held by Sony Pictures Entertainment’s “Spider-Man 3″ and before that the highest weekend sales were made by “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest” .‘The Dark Knight ‘grossed $4.2 million more than “Spider-Man 3″.
