U.S. restaurants to display calories along with menu

U.S. restaurants that are not displaying calories along with menu items will have to pay fines and the city health inspectors are issuing citation for violating the terms of depicting calories. About 12, 277 restaurants have been cited till July.
The fines vary from $200 to $2,000.The calorie postings are needed for restaurants that have more than 12 outlets across the nation. The rules were supported to be effective since April but the city authorities took time to make the rule effective.
