Polls find presidential nominee equally competitive

The polls suggest that both the Republican and Democratic nominee are equally popular with their voters. The democratic Illinois senator Barack Obama was favorable to 64% of voters and the Republican Senator John McCain had 59% voters favoring him. The polls statistics were released in the magazine USA today.
McCain’s age has been a disadvantage, as 23% of voters found that his age will make him less-effective. One of the polls experts said that age will not be important but current issues with Republicans like war and economy will be decisive.
