Global food price forcing 100 million into hunger

High food price has pushed 30 million African into scarcity and hunger is suffered by 850 million worldwide and food prices have increase highest in the last 30 years. Global increase in food price has been by 75% and in 2007 food prices rose by 43%.
U.S. is using 40 million tons of maize to produce ethanol because of increasing fuel prices. A few weeks ago U.S. president Bush said that increase in consumption of food in China and India has caused shortage whereas in U.S. food grain consumption has increased by 12 % and in India consumption increased by 2%.
