Studios win damages for copyright infringement

The Hollywood studios won the copyright case against TorrentSpy and the judge ordered the company to pay $110 million as damages for copyright infringement. The company TorrentSpy has been into the legal battle from two years with the Motion Picture Association of America.
The site of TorrentSpy was closed on March 24 after financial problems erupted and the company has been ordered to pay $30,000 per copyright infringement for each of the 3,699 films and shows.
