The users who are registered to Yahoo will be able to access non- Yahoo websites through their user name and password. The Websites that will support OpenID 2.0 digital identity framework will be facilitated with the permission to allow a Yahoo Id to access its website. The feature will get enabled from January 30 and already 10,000 Web sites have been added to the OpenID framework.
The addition of Yahoo accounts will make the OpenID accounts to 368 million in which 248 million active users are from Yahoo. In addition to this Google’s OpenSocial is planning a system to create standard interfaces that will run on many sites and it will reduce script repetition on internet.
