Blast in Sri Lanka kills 24

A bomb exploded in a bus in Sri Lanka on Wednesday and 24 people got killed and dozens got wounded. As the bomb exploded the so called agreement of six-year ceasefire between the Tamil Tiger rebels and the government of Sri Lanka comes to an end.

The Defense Ministry officials in Sri Lanka said that the bus was carrying school children and the blast took place at central district of Moneragala which is located about 240 km east of the capital Colombo. The children in the bus were not killed but 4 children were injured.
