UA talks get serious for merger with Delta
The Delta Air Lines talks with the United Airlines are getting serious. The United Airlines and the Northwest Airlines are competing to get the final bid over the Delta Air Lines.
The Delta Air Lines is talking to both the competitors UAL Corp. that is a Chicago-based parent of UA and Northwest Airlines which is a Minneapolis-based airline company.
The market analysts are suggesting that the talks with the Northwest Airlines have an edge over the United Airlines because United is facing labor issues in its own company. Delta planned to mergers after the increase in oil prices.
