Microsoft Corp to buy online search software

The Microsoft Corp. will be paying.6 billion kroner ($1.23 billion) to buy the Norwegian online-search software company Fast Search & Transfer ASA. The company will pay approximately 19 kroner for each share of Fast Search. The company is based in Oslo and it reported that the share prices were more by 42 % when the market closed on Jan 4.
Microsoft Corp. is said to be investing to get Web- search software that is most important business area of most of the web companies. The competitor bids are also possible from companies like Oracle Corp. and International Business Machines Corp.
