Air pollution lowers in Southern California
The pollution level has reduced in the Southern California region by 17 % in the last seven years though the pollutions are still high in the region close to the ports and rail yards. The report on the lower level of pollutant in air was given by the South Coast Air Quality Management District officials.
The reason behind the decline in pollution is given to the tough regulation on the use of air pollutants like dry-cleaners, industry, distribution of funds to the air cleaning technologies and encouragement to the emission reductions programs.
The program was initiated as many health problems caused due to air pollutions like cancer were increasing in the residents in the area and in area close to Southern California.
