Sunnyvale woman suspected of contracting TB on air plane

A 30 year old unnamed Sunnyvale woman is suspected to have contracted highly infectious TB while on travel from the Chicago’s O’Hare airport on American Airlines Flight 293 that traveled from New Delhi to Chicago. The woman traveled on Dec. 13 and 44 people have been identified who were sitting in the same air plane within the two rows.

The lady has been identified with a multidrug-resistant TB and the Santa Clara County’s Public Health Department spokeswoman said that she was infected before she got into the plane.
