Denosumab strengthen the bones depleted by cancer drug
The drug denosumab made by Amgen Inc can help patients suffering from breast cancer who are taking hormone therapy. The company said that the drug denosumab is a bone thickening medicine that thickens the bone that gets thin on taking breast cancer drug called aromatase inhibitors and increase the bone strength in patients as it does in osteoperosis cases.
The researchers found that the drug injection can be taken twice a year to increase the density of bone that gets spongy on taking breast cancer drug. The drug also strengthens the cortical bone and shell of the skeleton to benefit the patients.
