The research scientists are trying to run awareness programs to reach people and inform about the risks to men by breast cancers. Men are not participating in the breast cancer programs as they are no woman. The study on men breast cancer shows that the men having a family history of breast cancer run a risk to having the disease.
The Family Risk Assessment Program is being conducted in Philadelphia to check the risks associated to all the family members who have cases of breast cancer in their family. The mutation gene BRCA 1 and BRCA 2 carry the risk of cancer and the gene can be carried by the male member of the family as well. Both the mutation genes can cause cancer of either breast or prostate or pancreas.
