Heart attack risk increases on taking diabetes drug Avandia
The risks of a heart attack increases in patients who take Avandia for getting a treatment for diabetes. The study published in “The Journal of the American Medical Association” reported that for the type 2 diabetes patients 60 percent increase in the occurrence of a heart failure and 40% increase in risk to have a heat attack is noted if they take the medicine Avandia. 30 percent patients can also face death risks if they take the medicine for curing diabetics.
The author of the journal Dr. Lorraine L. Lipscombe of Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences in Toronto said that the benefits by the drugs are less as compared to the increased heath risk on taking the drug Avandia.
