Avastin has significant side effects and not good for breast cancer patients

The report submitted Food and Drug Administration said that the drug Avastin manufactured by Genentech’s drug was not effective in curing patients suffering from breast cancer and in fact it was found to be reason for a few deaths and had other side effects.

The reports have made the approval of the Avastin as a potential drug to cure breast cancer impossible and the stock of the company Genentech lowered by 3.6% to $73.50 after losing $2.75.The drug Avastin is famous for curing colon and lung cancer patients and a final meet with FDA for the approval of the drug will take place in the week.

A few doctors are already using the drug for curing patients suffering from breast cancer and the approval will help the company to advertise for the drug.
