LiveJournal sold to Russian partner
The blogging site of LiveJournal that was the most famous site used by Russians has been sold to the Russian partner of the company. The personal Web publishing service providing company Six Apart Ltd sold the website to SUP that is www.sup.com/en/. SUP is developing a new San Francisco-based company called LiveJournal Inc to make available the website globally.
The website had free and ad supported blogging and had online dairies feature and discussion forums. There were a total of 20 million visitors to the website and 14.3 milliohm blog accounts. The website got more than 150,000 posts everyday.
