Skin cells can be used for embryonic research
Those who were opposing the use of embryos for research have got an alternative. The research scientists from Japan and Wisconsin have reported that the skin cells can be used after modifications instead of embryonic stem cells for carrying out research work.
Those who termed the use of human embryo inhuman are relieved to get an alternative through the new research work.President Bush has been supporting the idea of getting stem cells from sources that did not involve the destruction of human embryos and the Wisconsin experiments at University of Wisconsin was being monitored by the President through the briefings given by the director of the National Institutes of Health.
