Cloning used to produce monkey embryos

The researchers into cloning from Oregon said that they can produce monkey embryos by cloning and also extracting stem cells from the same cloned embryos.

The researchers are saying that the research was earlier done on mouse and it will be successful in Human beings as well. The claims of getting stem cells from human embryos were earlier made by South Korean researchers in 2004 that were found to be untrue.

Oregon Health and Science University in Beaverton headed by Shoukhrat Mitalipov is confident towards the success of the study on human cells.
