Women Soccer team to get a new coach
For the 2008 Beijing Olympics Pia Sundhage had been selected the coach for the Women Soccer team of US. Pia Sundhage will replace Greg Ryan in the team and will be second women coach of the team.
Greg Ryan was terminated from the post when the team got third position in the September Women’s World Cup matches. Ryan had made an erroneous decision of taking Briana Scurry instead of Hope Solo as the goalkeeper for the team and the team lost in the semifinals to Brazil. President of U.S. Soccer team Sunil Gulati said the team will be benefited from the international experiences of the new coach.
