General elections in Pakistan
The president of Pakistan under the pressure of his western counterparts and supporting group has declared that general elections will be held in the country on January 9.The elections will be held after his term as president of the country gets completed.
The President also said that he will resign from the post of Army chief as per the Supreme Court’s rule to participate in the general elections to be held in January.
The supporters of former Prime Minister of Pakistan Benezir Bhutto have been opposing the government’s emergency declaration and other policies.
The former leader is demanding immediate polls and end of emergency in country. U.S. supported the declaration of polls in Pakistan.
