Wireless transmission faster than WiFi by IBM

The researchers at IBM at TJ Watson Research Center in Yorktown Heights, New York are planning to develop a wireless transmission protocol chip that will be more than 100 times faster than WiFi in transferring files.
The research will making use of the 60GHz spectrum, the wave spectrum that runs from 30GHz to 300 GHz spectrum, to bring out the expected result.
The company is working together with the research team of MediaTek to get the outcome that is expected to be out in three years.
