Jammie Thomas to appeal against copyright decision
The Minnesota woman, Jammie Thomas held responsible for violating the copyright act and asked to pay $222,000 for illegally downloading and sharing music files has decided to fight back and appeal against the RIAA. She said that the action was suggested by her lawyer Brian Toder who announced it on an interview with the news channel CNN.
Recording Industry Association of America has held Thomas responsible for their loss in business. RIAA has filed around 20,000 cases against people for violation of copyright act. Thomas has also been raising funds through website to pay back the US$222,000 to RIAA.
