Largest rescue operation on a Gold mine site
In South Africa, Carletonville, more than 3000 workers of the Harmony Gold Mining Co. were trapped in a mine a few miles below the ground after dropping down the shaft.
The Harmony Gold Mining Co. is one of the largest producers of gold in South Africa and many tested safety measures has been used by the company for the mine worker but the accident has raised question mark on the safety measures.
Most of the mine workers have been rescued but minors said that the mine wasn’t made safe properly for the workers.
